Beginner Workshops
Beginner workshops are $35 for the first student plus the cost of their robot kit (and batteries). Additional students can be added for only $15!( plus the cost of their robot kit(s)/batteries).
Beginner workshops are limited to one type of robot per workshop. Beginner workshops can have a maximum of four students-if you have more students, give us a call! We would love to create a special workshop program for you at our shop!
Beginner workshop reservations can be scheduled as early as 11:00am and as late as 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Weekend workshops have limited availability and must be scheduled over the phone. Sign up now or give us a call at 773-281-1008 to schedule yours today!
Beginner Workshop Level 1 (recommended for ages 5 to 7)
This class begins with a quick lesson on gears, followed by a lesson on circuits with our fun flying saucer activity! Robots for the beginner workshop level 1 class range from $19.95 to $29.95 and include the Robo Bug, Table Top Robot, Robot Duck and the Sound Control UFO.
Beginner Workshop Level 2 (recommended for ages 7 to 10)
This class begins with a quick review on circuits with our motors and generators activity and going into more detail about electricity. Robot options for the beginner workshop level 2 class range from $19.95 to $29.95 and include the Smart Robot , Doodling Robot, Tin Can Robot, and Metal Detecting Robot.
Beginner Workshop Level 3 (recommended for ages 9 to 12)
This class features our most challenging beginner kit, Line Tracking Robot. After completing the build, students will get to test out the robot’s ability to steer itself along a black line using it’s infrared detectors!
