Robotics After School - Parents
During RobotCity afterschool students "have fun building!" With your child enrolled in our program they will learn about simple mechanics and principles all centered around do-it-yourself robotic activities.
Our classes are set to inspire careers in engineering, general science or programming, all while kids are having an awesome time.

Our robotics after school program sparks interest in young minds that can lead to future careers in various fields including programming, engineering, general science and of course robotics.
“I love robots Mom. Can I sign up for RobotCity afterschool? They get to build robots!” -afterschool RCW student
Over the course of our classes students engage in “build days” and “reusable days.”
During a build day students work on assembling a robot they get to take home and keep. Some of these robots take three classes to build to completion while others only require one day of building.
Reusable days offer students the chance to have robot building races, learn about different types of circuits, program various robots and more. Just watch a video from our YouTube channel to check out some of the newer reusable activities for robotics after school with RobotCity.

Take a look at an example of the work that students complete in a standard, one day robot build.
Throughout the program your child will build multiple robots (depending on the length of the program). Some of these robots take one class period to complete while others take three class periods to complete. We always make certain your child’s robot is working before they take it home. During some classes students get to use some of our cool, interactive activities to introduce them to basic elements of mechanics, circuits, gears, programming and more. It’s all hands on!
Call our shop for more information on enrolling your child in the robotics after school with RobotCity.
Robots for All Ages
The robots students build during robotics afterschool with RobotCity are geared towards their age. Classrooms are generally divided into groups of kindergarten through second grade, third through fifth grade and sixth through eighth grade.
Our easiest builds such as the Robot Duck are primarily for kindergarten and first grade. As students develop with our afterschool robotics program they get to build more advanced robots!
Different Robots Every Year
Does your child want to sign up for Fall 2015, Winter 2015/2016 and again for Spring 2016?
“Sweetie I know you want to robots again but won’t you be building the same robots again?”
Each session features different robot builds so your child can sign up again and again! He or she will be building different robots every season. Also, if your child is graduating into a higher age group of robotics after school they get not only different robots each season but more challenging activities to match their growing minds.
