After School Program

Plan an After School Program for Your School

We currently offer a robot building after school program to students in pre-kindergarten through high school, divided by age to provide students with age appropriate content. All of our classes encourage students to be excited about applied sciences and engineering and send students home with robotic creations that they can be proud of having built themselves.

Classes take place for one hour each week at the school, and sessions are typically 8-12 weeks in length, depending on the school’s schedule and needs. We maintain a student to instructor ratio of 8:1 to ensure that students have the help they need. We run programs in fall, winter, and spring sessions, with new materials for each class so that repeat students will never be bored.

Program Descriptions

Pre-K – 1st Grade: This after school program is all about initial discovery and a fun way to get curious young minds excited about robots and the science behind them. Students will build multiple robots to take home using early learning kits selected especially for small fingers.

Grades 2-5: Among our after school programs, this is the original. This option offers an exciting introduction to the inner workings of robots. Using fine motor skills and problem solving, students will learn about the technology that makes robots work while building multiple robots of their own to take home for further experimentation!

Grades 6-8: The program for junior high students offers a more intensive robot-building experience using more elaborate kits, as well as an introduction to robot programming. Advanced topics focusing more on the design and functionality of robots are effectively pursued in this program.

High School: This advanced after school program gives technologically-minded students the opportunity to build and program a robot utilizing computer control. Students will learn how to write programs to microcontrollers, use them to control electronic devices, and ultimately implement them in their own robots.
