Advanced Kits
For those that are ready to move into programmable robots whose behavior can be controlled through written programs, we have them here-- More on the way!
WAO Kranius PC interface Cable
Use this cable to upload your own programs directly to the WAO Kranius Robot instead of using the onboard keyboard for greater flexibility and power. The application software enables the user to issue commands via programming, saving, editing, and downloading capabilities. The software, not included, can be obtained on the manufacturers website: http://www.elenco.com/win-9762.htm No assembly required.
WAO Kranius Robot
Kranius is a two-wheeled robot that you can program to follow a certain path without a computer. It has an 8-bit micro-controller, keypad with 33 tactile buttons and can store up to 60 programmed steps and 30 FOR-NEXT loops. Contains 6 vision sensors (2 infared light sensors to detect obstructions and 4 floor light sensors to detect contrasts of light like the edge of a table).
Dr. OWIKIT says this robot is more than just fun. Assembling, building, and following instructions help develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The programmable feature rof this robot requires you to plan ahead, think systematically and logically, develop problem-solving skills, and be challenged to think creatively.
Easy to assemble, this robot makes a great entrant for robotic competitions, robotic workshops, after-school programs, special events, gifts, science enrichment camps, and classroom activities.
3 Pi Robot
The Pololu 3pi robot is a complete, high-performance mobile platform featuring two micro metal gear motors, five reflectance sensors, an 8x2 character LCD, a buzzer, and three user push buttons, all connected to a C-programmable ATmega328 microcontroller. Capable of speeds exceeding 3 feet per second, 3pi is a great first robot for those comfortable with programming and don't want to spend alot of time constructing a robot mechanically.
