Ladybug Infrared Robot

The Ladybug Robot moves with six legs and makes use of infrared emitting diodes as its "eyes" to avoid obstacles along its path. Ladybug automatically makes a left turn the moment it detects an object in its path. It continues to move forward after that if there is no shadow in front of the sensor. The design of the Ladybug, which is based on two sets of legs, enables it to perform different sets of movements. Power Source: Four 1.5V "AAA" batteries (not included). INTERMEDIATE KIT: Some previous knowledge of electronics. Good soldering techniques for medium dense boards.

Tamiya 70079 Gearbox Kit

The Tamiya twin-motor gearbox is a small (3-inch long) plastic gearbox. It contains two small DC motors that drive separate 3mm hexagonal output shafts. There are two ways to put the kit together: with a high-speed 58:1 gear ratio or with a slower 203:1 gear ratio. Either way, the motors provide plenty of power to drive any small device.

Kabuto Mushi (Beetle) Robot

Kabuto Mushi (Rhinoceros Beetle) Robot is an infrared remote controlled robot with caterpillar traction. The infrared remote control handset has 8 channels, each channel controls 4 motors: 2 motors control directional movement, one motor regulates the elevating position of the claw, and the 4th motor operates the claw its self. This easy-to-build kit will provide students, teachers, and inexperienced hobbyist a fun and informative building session.

Junglebot

This cute but shockingly powerful little robot will give hours of pleasure and fun to its owner. It's an ideal starter for anyone aged 10 or up.

Binary Player Robot

OWI introduces the second generation of its binary navigating robot kit. BINARY PLAYER ROBOT is a “predictable”, two-wheeled robot. An internal program stored on a memory disk created by the user ascertains its predictability. Therein, however, lies the fun. If you can color in a coloring book, you can program this robot. If you can’t…you can probably STILL program this robot.

Weasel Robot

Weasel is a tenacious little robot warrior that embodies two sensors that allow it to "see" a line or "feel" its way along walls and around corners. The two motors and contact sensor activate the wall sensing micro switch to control the motors' on/off operation that determines the path of a wall. It is the classic robot design using the "Left Hand Rule" to escape mazes. With OWI’s continued pursuit in making robots "smart", they have added an additional feature to this little bundle of energy - a sonic tracking system.

Follow Me Robot

This is a very interesting little sound detecting robot kit. The four built-in microphones detect the sound source in 360 degrees. Upon detection, the robot reconfigures its location and goes towards the source of the sound. Just clap and the robot will come to you. Clap again from another position and the robot will turn and move in that direction. It’s a simple kit that helps young robot builders understand the intricacies of a circuit board and the communication that certain wires provide.

Face Changing Robot

You can now see how the famous face changing robot works with our exclusive 4D puzzle. This kit allows you to replace the astronaut face with any of your own photos. Just assemble our detailed robot puzzle kit with easy snap together assembly, and then wind him up and away he goes. Inspired by the popular Japanese Robot of the 1950's, called Mr. D-Cell, this attractive face-changing robot walks while he swings his arms and rotates his head side to side.
